Removing logos from your cell phone

Removing logos from your cell phone

Friday, February 09, 2007

Most of us really do like to have the latest cell phone available on the market even though we have to get it through a mobile carrier that put its logo in a very visible area of the handset making your phone less appealing.

Although, there is no apparent way to get rid of those logos without causing damage to your device's surface, you know that there is always someone trying to find a way. Alcohol and other solvents may erase logos, but cause an irreversible damage to plastic surfaces.

Therefore, in a recent science fair, an incredible method was presented to the visitors, claiming to be an effective logo removal method for both PDA’s and cell phones. Believe it or not, you can remove unwanted logos with sugar!

We do not recommend or endorse this or any other method, but here it is at your sole consideration.

Supposedly, this is a safe method that only causes slight damage such as some scratching but no major harm, although it definitely does not work in devices with plastic covers or etched logos.

Unwanted logos can be removed from metal or plastic products when they are glued onto the surface scratching them off. The only thing you need is tape and sugar cubes or grained cubes. Cover the logo with tape and then use sugar and gently rub the logo surface. Tear off the tape and the logo should be gone. Good luck!
