Verizon has just launched a new smartphone powered by Windows Mobile 5. The Pantech PN-820 is now available with the purchase of a new service or for those users who already have a Verizon's plan but want to upgrade to a new cell phone.
The PN-820 is an innovative Pantech's clamshell handset, which 1.3-mega pixel camera with flash, speakerphone and Bluetooth connectivity. Ranged as the second largest cell phone manufacturer in Korea, Pantech wants to consolidate a place within the America market with the PN-820,
The stylish design of the Pantech PN-820 is appealing which includes a miniSD card memory expansion slot. This smartphone just got the seal of approval by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) a few days ago and has become one of the hottest sales at Verizon for only $149 after a US$100 online discount
Verizon requires a two-year service agreement for this smartphone that supports Verizon's 3G data network through its BroadbandAccess Connect. The Pantech PN-820 includes also full support for Internet, including the Internet Explorer web browser.
Verizon's Pantech PN-820 has a dual LCD displays and common applications to the Windows environment, such as Windows Media Player 10, and a pocket version of Microsoft Office. Perhaps the only drawback of this handset is that it has no keyboard so all the operations are performed using its number pad.
