We wake up everyday with the news of improved mobile devices such as the Apple's iPhone or Nokia's Internet Tablet 800, the most recent wonders in the waiting list of many handset fans.

However, people who love the sophistication of a smartphone such as the new Blackberry, or the functionality of the Palm Tungsten W with its large color screen, now can enjoy a new tech-toy: the OKWAP S868.

The new smartphone introduced by the Taiwanese manufacturer HTC is in fact, a Pocket PC featuring the Window Mobile 5 Operating System edition, which is the small size of a really clever smartphone.

The OKWAP S868 is powered by an Intel PXA270 416MHz Processor, a 2.4"screen, 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM and a virtual click-wheel resembling an iPod, besides of a 2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.0 and infrared connectivity.

Actually, the OKWAP S868 is only available in Taiwan, with a price around $470 USD, or actually $15,000 Taiwan dollars. This handset will not take too much time before being released on sale worldwide. Even though be aware that this is only a dual-band unit. 900 / 1800 network.

Other characteristics of this HTC's smartphone include a MMC expansion slot, compatibility with GPRS, and fashionable rounded corners that give it a touch of class.
