Saving Pictures: A problem that can be tackled

Friday, January 12, 2007

The ability to send pictures to another device or media out of a smartphone is enabled in most modern handsets. Therefore, older cell phones and modern budget smartphones are not manufactured to share data with other devices, even though most of them have built-in cameras.

The lack of Bluetooth, Infra Red and other wireless technologies is frustrating when it comes to save all those valuable pictures that people take with their cell phones and the worse part is that some of those models have magnificent cameras.

However, there are many alternative options to send your pictures straightforward to your computer. The most commonly known is emailing the photos from such telephone, a useful trick that is possible by composing a MMS rather than a text or SMS message.

Another option is sending such MMS to another smartphone with wireless technology, from which you can transfer the pictures easily, but there is other convenient ways to store a copy of those pictures into an online facility, from which you can download them directly to your PC.

Doing research you will be able to find WAP-enable sites such as Eye2Mobile.com, TagTag.com, and MailByMobile.com, which have free online communities with useful tools to store pictures, audio files and bookmarks.

In order to save your picture, you must visit the site using your handset browser and choosing the corresponding option to save a snapshot of your phone's content. The information on how to do it is available on-site when you sign in.
