The name says it all, this is a smartphone released with music lovers in mind, designed with dedicated music keys for easy access to your favorite leisure activity.
Nokia 5300 is music-oriented, but it also comes with other multimedia features, including a 1.3 mega pixel camera capable to take pictures with a 1280 x 1024 pixels resolution, and video (QCIF).
In addition to Java games, the 5300 XpressMusic has stereo FM radio, an enhanced MP3 player, which supports MP3 / SpMidi / AAC / AAC+ formats. Other characteristics include reminders, T9, stopwatch, voice memo and commands, as well as a TFT display with QVGA resolution.
When it comes to connectivity, Nokia 5300 XpressMusic are equipped with a standard 3.5 mm audio jack with stereo support, Bluetooth 2.0, Infrared port, and a mini-USB jack
Nokia 5300 supports downloads and its browser is compatible with WAP 2.0 / xHTML, HTML, but it has only 5 MB internal memory, which makes it hard to keep your music along with other files without the microSD (TransFlash), hotswap memory card supported by this handset.
Apart from its physical memory limitations, this is another of the handsets that has been criticized during the last quarter of 2006. Nokia 5300 XpressMusic has been compared with a cheap soap bar because of its design and below average camera quality with no LED flash and low-resolution video recording.
However, this is the Nokia 5300 XpressMusic, a smartphone intended for your musical delight, not for cameramen.
