Sprint has released the new Sanyo SCP-7000, a low-end handset with a clamshell casual design and user changeable faceplates considered the rugged version of the Sanyo SCP-2400.
As an entry-level phone, the price of this cell phone is as low as $29.99 USD via Sprint, while its predecessor is now only $19.99, both with a two-year contract and the SCP-7000 with $150 in instant savings.
Designed with the young people in mind. This cell phone includes parental controls for children less than 12 years of age. The Sanyo SCP-7000 comes with a Dura-Grip, anti-slip coating on outside of handset, voice dialing, speakerphone, and push-to-talk ready link.
Small in size, this Sanyo features a 128×160 pixel LCD screen with 65,536 colors (16-bit), 1 MB built-in flash memory, and Stub / Extendable Antenna.
Sanyo SCP-7000 is an A-GPS model with 32 polyphonic ringtones, calendar, calculator, alarm, vibrate, voice memo and voice dialing, 2-ways text messaging, and java enabled games.
Data and network capability include USB and Web Browser WAP 2.0 compatibility with Packet Data Technology 1xRTT, flight mode, and predictive text entry technology T9.
Do not expect all the features available in other models available through Sprint or any other cell phone carrier. The SCP-7000 has no camera, video or other multimedia features, except custom graphic, ringtones, and two languages support (English-Spanish).
