Just before the fourth quarter of 2006 ends, Nokia is presenting three new handsets to be launched during the first quarter of 2007 and available only in the United States initially.
Each of these Nokia’s smartphones is designed to provide at least a unique characteristic that differentiate them from previous models available on the market.
Nokia Slim Club has 3 different proposals to reach different users, from a stylish candybar build up in stainless steel to a revised UMA clamshell, to the inexpensive S60 3rd edition phone.
Nokia 6300 is the slim candybar-like style, which is only 13mm thick. Offering GSM/EDGE (850/1800/1900) and Triband technologies, this handset includes Bluetooth connectivity and a MicroSD slot, plus a 2 megapixel camera, media player, FM radio, and a 16.7 million color QVGA display.
Nokia 6086 is the second UMA clamshell offered by this company, and similar connectivity technologies such as Bluetooth and MicroSD slot, but with to quad-band GSM/EDGE and Wi-Fi, and includes a monochrome external display, VGA camera, media player and FM radio.
Nokia 6290 is one of the series S60, characterized by a small clamshell body and interchangeable quick covers. This smartphone comes with Quad-band GSM/EDGE plus UMTS 2100, and Bluetooth technologies.
Featuring a large QVGA internal display and a128 x 160 external color display with 3 navigation keys, Nokia 690 has IR, FM radio and stereo speakers, a 2 megapixel camera with flash, and an internal video call camera 2, 50 MB built-in memory and a MicroSD slot.
